Curso Provincial:
ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) offer new possibilities in the field of Foreign Language Teaching. Within the framework of teacher training, life-long training is established as a priority in the European agenda (2007-2013) and ICT training becomes a ‘must’ in order “to promote and reinforce teachers’ skills and knowledge to make best use of new opportunities created by digital education content”.
Ø To know the creative and educational means, tools and possibilities of ICT resources for the English classroom.
Ø To provide teachers with multimedia examples of materials and activities to use in the English classroom.
Ø To look for and select resources in the net adequate for the primary and secondary classroom.
Ø To share teaching approaches and materials using ICT.
Ø ICT and its educational uses and potential.
Ø Analysis of resources and tools available on the net.
Ø Educational applications: digital board, blogs, podcasts, email, powerpoint.
Ø Pedagogical approach centred on the students.
Teachers of English in Primary and Secondary education.
Be a Primary or Secondary School teacher of English.
By drawing lots if the number of interested people exceeds 30 – 15 primary and 15 secondary.
The emphasis will be on the acquisition of information and strategies to organize an English classroom using different ICT tools. The course tutors will propose and present materials and activities to take over in class and the participants will analyze and discuss them. Participants are required to actively participate in the development of class activities and analyze resources and materials to use in the classroom and share them with other participants.
In the last session of the course both teacher and participants will evaluate the activity as a whole and will propose ideas and improvement for future courses.

20 hours (15 face-to-face and 5 for compulsory work to share: analysis of 3 websites or ICT tools), equivalent to 2 credits.
Absenteeism, regardless of the reason, must not exceed 15% of the total course according to current legislation.
